Power Supplies & Batteries
How to Power Security Camera and Other Devices
There are many different ways to learn how to power security camera systems, and the simplest among them is by powering one camera at a time, either through an individual power supply or by using batteries. If you are highly concerned about the integrity of your security system, you should acquire the appropriate batteries and/or power supply devices that will allow your cameras to function at optimum levels of performance all the time. Your cameras are, after all, the eyes of your security system. Only the correct products can ensure that they remain functional and healthy.
A power supply is a device that allows you to plug into any standard 110v power socket in your house, and use that electricity to regulate the power down to levels that can be withstood by small security cameras. Our power supplies come in 9v, 12v and 24v, which are standard voltage levels for most wired cameras of this type. Other than the fact that these cameras need only a small amount of power to function, there is also the risk of them taking damage if they are fed too much power. However, feed them too little power and they will either malfunction or not run at all.
